Training Institute

A scrollWelcome to the home page for the newly restructured DMH Training Institute!  The Training Institute provides high-quality learning opportunities to a broad array of professionals, consumers and stakeholders throughout the District.

The Institute serves as the central coordinating body for accomplishing all workforce development-related objectives described in the Dixon Report and the Dixon Exit Criteria, local and federal accountability and compliance laws. It will also serve as the primary liaison for coordinating and publicizing training events within the Department, as well as creating standard instruments and procedures for DMH training activities.
What’s New at the DMH Training Institute?
The DMH Training Institute will take a hiatus in July and August of 2008 to prepare for Fall trainings, but a few on-going training events will be offered during the summer months. See the section below on newly added and upcoming events for more information.

Please note the important changes to our policies and procedures below.

  • The DMH Training Institute has moved exclusively to a web-based registration format, and will no longer accept registration forms sent electronically, by fax or mail. Please contact us at dmh.training@dc.gov or at (202) 671-0343 if you have difficulties accessing this system or would like additional assistance.
  • The DMH Training Institute and Saint Elizabeth’s Hospital Division of Psychology have been approved by the American Psychological Association (APA) to sponsor continuing education credits in psychology.
